Vitamin Supplements?
Okay my health is not great I am over weight, very anemic, I get migraines, acne and suffer from very low energy and depression. I am looking to supplements to improve the conditions I suffer from and hopefully help my appearance, skin, hair nails and weight loss.
It seems that every time I pick up a magazine or go into a healthfood store there is another pill I need to be taking. I’ve bought a lot of pills and so far have:
a skin, hair and nail supplement
B complex supplement
Sea Kelp
Chromium
MSM
Vitamin C
Iron Supplements (Prosecribed)
Flax Oil
Evening Primrose Oil
Co Q10
Pro/Prebiotics
Vegatarian DHA
Alpha Lipioc Acid and Acetyl – L-Carnitine
Taurine
Zinc
Ginseng
5-HTP
Hyaluronic Acid
I alos have fever few tincture to take for my Migraine.
Also: Bee Pollen granules, green powder, protien powder, lechitin all to be taken when required.
It all seems a bit much but it is what I seem to need. It won’t do me any harm will it?
Thanks for answering!

The best vitamins and minerals that you can get are the ones in very good natrual and balanced diet!!!!! They are the easiest ones to absorb and would probably be cheaper than that lot. If you are depressed try to up the amount of natural feel good foods like grains and seeds. Your body sounds like it is cryng out for attention and that will add or aggreviate depression. If you need stress relief to feel better treat your self to aromatherapy massage or some other form of alternative medicine.
    Good luck

It seems that you could simplify your list by using a multiple vitamin.
Agree with the feverfew for the migraines, I use the tablet form, you might try it when the tincture runs out.
Some vitamins such a metals, calcium and vitamin C are better taken at night.
It is even suggested that you take time off from them, say over the weekend.
Remember, all these articles are designed to get you to spent your money.
The best I know is: get a good multiple vitamin, also antioxidants, calcium and vitamin D if you are a women.
    Good Luck.

Wow, now you are also suffering from empty wallet syndrome.
I think you are wrong in thinking that pills are going to solve your problems; you are too gullible and have been taken in by the slick marketing of the supplement sellers.
Talk to your doctor about a sensible plan to lose weight, therapy for your depression and medicated face creams for your acne. Your energy and mood will improve as the anemia improves.
The only supplement you need is the iron; everything else is found in a healthy diet including fruits and veggies.

sounds like my cabinet! It will do no harm. Make sure you take your pro biotics daily to replenish your intestinal flora and flax oil is wonderful for your skin hair and nails, plus great for the inside. Another wonderful omega 3 is krill oil. I take these daily in capsules, just in case you never heard of it. the MSM must be taken with the vitamin C so it absorbs into the body well. as for everything else it could be beneficial to take often, but since its alot there is no harm on alternating throughout the week. Make sure you talk positive to yourself first. Healing from within starts with our thoughts, supplement help but it is only a small piece of the puzzle. i recommend the book the Biology of Belief. It is very inspiring and relates to health, our thoughts, and the body. I understand alot on what you are going through, i am currently on a total body detox that my naturopath recommended for my skin, low energy, and unbalanced hormones. Stay strong and know that you will return to health. This is just temporary. Good luck!

It may not have occurred to you that all you require is in the food you eat, if you are not eating a healthy balanced diet you will not be able to redress that balance by man made additives, if you are unclear about the health benefits of vitamins i recommend you look at the ingredients on the side of the pack.
many use caffiene as an energy booster and the balance of nutrients in natural food is so complex that to date, NO company as been able to replicate even a single food.
Fresh raw food on a daily basis is the most helpful and kind thing you can do for your body, you may wish also to check that the product you are taking actually is derived from nature and not synthetic.
last but certainly not least, if you wish to feel good, you will make choices that do not maintain high body mass, choices that aid your body in eliminating waste, and choices that encourage top level performance by way of providing the appropriate nutrition.
