Has anyone else experienced hair loss while using the Mirena? I absolutely love the Mirena, but didn’t start noticing my hair is everywhere until I got it. Does it stop? I dont want to end up bald!
Can I do anything to stop this…I do not want to take the Mirena out though.

Though it has rarely been reported, people have had problems of hair loss while using the Mirena. Talk to your doctor about this. You may want to choose and IUD that does not have hormones in it. Try Paragard (also called the Copper-T).
Also, were you recently pregnant? During pregnancy hormones rise and women’s hair gets very thick. After the birth the hormone levels drop and women lose the extra hair– sometimes it seems like it happens all at once.

i’m shedding too babe and i’m not even on it…lol. I think it’s b/c of having a baby!
