Prenatal vitamins. One of my best friends is taking this, as recommended by her doctor. (She’s not pregnant. But her hair has been thinning lately and losing luster.)
Or flax seed. You can either take the flax seed as a capsule made from the oil, or as a pill, or eat the natural flax seed. Buy it at a health food store and add to cereals or stews.
My great grandma was going bald from cancer before she died. Since her hair had been her one vanity (she still had naturally dark hair into her 80’s) she wanted to do something to keep it. She was taking flax seed in her cereal for a year prior to her death, and her hair was coming back in thicker than ever and dark again (the cancer had also turned it gray).
