No that’s totally normal, babies can even get a flat spot on their head from it being on one side a lot. It will grow hair back…no worries!

while it is probably normal, it’s important to tell your pediatrician about it. our daughter always slept with her head to one side or the other — not on the back. i specifically remember our doctor telling us to make sure she used both sides and to tell her if we found she favored a side. like other posts said, lots of babies favor a spot and as a result get a bald spot, but i am certain that our pediatrician wanted to know if she favored turning her head to one side.

It’s a normal condition for a baby, my son had the same thing happen to him.
You can try laying your baby down differently each time you set him/her into their crib. Position their head at the foot of the bead one time then at the head of the bed the next. We did this and it helped even out the baldness a bit.
You can also look at purchasing a sleep positioner to assist with this if it really worries you. Be sure that the positioner is made specifically for a baby though.

It’s normal. Nothing to worry about. My son has many bald spots all around his head and he’s 3 months old!

That’s completely normal. My son lost most of his hair on top and than it grew back in thicker and now he’s losing it on his left side and back side because he favors both those positions. His hair just rubs off, but it will grow back.
