The way to know if you have a thyroid disorder or not is to go to a doctor and get blood tests. That’s the only way to know.

  1. Lisa A says:

Hair loss isn’t the major indicator of a thyroid disorder. Your hair, nails and skin might be drier if your thyroid is low. You will get cold more easily, frequently fatigued, maybe even feel like you are “walking through cement”. If you are male, it could just be male pattern baldness if you are losing a lot of hair. You might just need a little rogaine. But if you experience more symptoms indicative of a thyroid problem, the only way to know for sure is to get a blood test at the Dr.

I just went and got mine tested because my hair has been getting really thin and I’m only 20. Go to the dr. and ask them to do a thyroid test….they will take your blood and do the tests and will give you a call when the results are in.
