baldness comes from your mother…but it is not likely that you’re mother will be bald. the X chromosome has several traits that it carries. the Y chromosome has 1 and thats a gene for testicles. you’re mother would not likely that your mother will be bald b/c she has 2 Xs and its not likely that she’ll have a recessive gene for baldness on both Xs. If you’re dad has a bad X; however, then nothing on his Y, i.e. his balls will stop that from happening. this is also relevant to many genetic diseases and is at least one reason why women live longer and are genetically superior good luck buddy.

I think that’s actually an X chromosome trait, so it’s your mother’s father you’re most likely to resemble. Been a while since I took genetics. Google “hair loss genetics” and you’ll have your answer.

Just because your dad is bald doesn’t mean you will become bald.
You will find out when you are his age if you will go bald or not. But remember, there are stuff to grow your hair back! So don’t worry about it.
