Well I don’t know what you look like, but I’ll give you my experience. I had my hair very long until it started to thin and I looked ridiculous. So I tried the standard barber shop haircut and felt like I looked like an old man (Im in my mid 40s) So one day I decided, why not.. and took the clippers and razor to it. I have had probably one compliment a day since doing it and it has been over a year now. Also, I occasionally get carded buying beer now (no joke!) which makes me feel pretty good. I have even been called “sexy” for the first time in probably 20 yrs. My wife thinks it looks great and I am told all the time I look a lot younger. No grey hair and no thin hair. Put on a pair of shades and I look like a baaaaaaad man.. LOL.

Trim it short every week:I do the same.

Don’t shave your head. You’ll look like a melon-headed Ore-Ida potato. If you look good with it short, keep it that way.
