There’s not much you can do, a cat licks themselves to clean themselves, that is why they get hairballs! Ever try giving your cat a bath, most don’t like water. Maybe talk to someone at Petsmart!

licking shouldn’t be the cause… cats lick to clean themselves… but something is making your cat go bald. maybe medication, allergic reaction to something she came in contact with either way you should see the vet to find out for sure and make sure your cat is going to be ok

sugar baby is right. the cat can be stressed. happens a lot to indoor cats and for some for outdoor cats. maybe play with your cat, give it a scratching post, a few toys and maybe some cat nip

Maybe she is stressed out and is pulling out her fur.
    try calming her down.

must be a disease talk to your vet and see what he/she can do

My cat has done this to himself a couple of times and we never found the answer, but figured it may be stress, because when we got another cat it got worse. It has stopped though, so she might be under stress over something, but it is worth taking her to a vets to make sure there’s no skin problem making her lick like that.

she is licking herself to make herself clean

My cat had the same problem. They usually do it because they’re stressed. If she often gets in trouble, that’s a big reason.

How to solve it, is feed her wet gourmet food, and put fish oil on it every feeding.
    Hope this helps!

Discuss options with your vet. I believe they have sprays you can put on her fur so she stops licking those spots. Usually excessive licking is a sign of stress.

  9. Larn answered this ^___^ says:

Take your cat to the vet.
Even if it is serious it’s better to catch it early or it’ll become serious.
