Question by redrose2427: why is there a bald spot on my ducklings head?
we just got baby ducks or my son for his birthday. The next day, one had a bald spot on top of his head. What is it? Is it his adult feahers coming in?

How old are the ducklings? It may be his adult feathers coming in, but usually you will see the small quills poking thru.. OR if you have several ducklings in the same pen, they will run into each other, rub each other & on their enclosure.. I’ve seen it happen. Unless there is trama or a rash, don’t panic.
