Posted by: in Hair Loss Causes
www.GastricBypassTruth.com Everyone who has gastric bypass surgery is concerned about hair loss. Scalp massage helps increase blood flow to the scalp, getting more nutrients to your hair root to minimize loss and spark regrowth.
Video Rating: 4 / 5
In this video I talk about my experience with permanent hair removal (including laser, IPL and electrolysis). I talk about the costs advantages and inconvenients. As a second topic, I also talk about preventing hair loss (balding).

For people with arthritis of the hands, is there an electric scalp massage machine on the market? Would the Brookstone “Scalp-Massaging Helmet” be a useful alternative for the finger massage method?

Hi Gastricbypasstruth i have watched your video and i am intereseted. I am a male hair loss sufferer and i am taking saw palmetto and polyphenols which are guaranteed to premote hair growth. But over the last few days i have been doing the scalp massage as you have shown us in your video. I want to do it to try and speed up the process of my hair recovery. But i found that after i have done it, i can feel the tingling sensation afterwards, But then my hair feels very sensitive, is this normal???

Great vid. I learned the proper way to massage my scalp. Thanks!!
August 9th, 2010 at 8:40 pm
can this be done as well when I’m taking my shower?
August 9th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
my dermatologist told me that since the hairloss is from surgery and not due to heredity, you can use rogaine temporarily and it will not fall out once you stop using it
August 9th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
You wanna be applying more presuure than that, i apply preasure harder and my hair grows thick thick lol
August 9th, 2010 at 9:28 pm
Thank you for the video. I am going to start doing the massage every day.
August 9th, 2010 at 9:41 pm
Anyone can do it – it certainly doesn’t hurt anything, and even if it doesn’t work for you it’s relaxing. But whether or not you get results from it depends on why you lost hair. I’m no expert on hair loss in general, so I don’t know the reasons behind male pattern baldness, for example. But if you’ve lost hair due to nutritional deficiencies, this should make a difference.
August 9th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
I’ve been pretty clear. I had surgery over 1 year ago, no I have not reached my goal weight but I have come very far. It’s a process.
I’m not “selling” anything. I put this out because it could help people.
There is no way to avoid losing some hair following gastric bypass surgery. But proper nutrition – getting all your vitamins and protein – can help minimize the loss and aid in faster regrowth. Massaging the scalp gets more of those nutrients to the hair root where they’re needed.
August 9th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
did you have the surgery? because your hair looks thin and you look like you have weight. so is what you’re “selling” not working for you?
August 9th, 2010 at 10:24 pm
crown still looks really thin which worries me the most. I almost went and used Rogaine (bought it and everything) but upon reading that once you use Rogaine you have to use it for life or else all “Rogaine Hair” will fall off.
I thought.. am I really losing hair from male pattern baldness or was it really the crash diet that caused it. One look at my brother whom is 13 years older than me tells me its defiantly not male pattern baldness. Returned the Rogaine and am so glad I did.

With IPL? Not long, 2-3 sessions. That being said, I still haven’t managed to get rid of all facial hair.
August 9th, 2010 at 11:22 pm
You are beautiful!
I just started IPL treatment in my legs, I would like to know how long it took you to see some results in your diferents treatments.
Thanks

August 10th, 2010 at 12:08 am
@TrannyGirl15 naw I’m already using Procerin (dht blocker) right now and its pretty effective…
it actually stoped my hair from falling out and all the hair that was really thinned out has started getting thicker again…
August 10th, 2010 at 12:34 am
I didn’t use minoxidil much, I had the impression that it made me grow a few extra hairs around my eyebrow/temple area, and that was enough to make me stop using it.
You should probably look into propecia/proscar, if you’re thinking of transitioning at some point
August 10th, 2010 at 1:29 am
I’ve been thinking about using minoxidil since i was 17 years old (that’s the year i started losing my hair, pretty young i know…) but the fact that it makes you LOSE hair in the Beginning stages of therapy is what scared me away from ever buying it….
how did it work for you? did you end up using it? and I’m pretty sure that once the hair follicle is dead not even minoxidil can regrow it…
so you don’t have to worry about growing hair on your forehead

This is so inspiring. I am really considering having facial hair removal in my twenties I think.
I’d love to have conversations about transgender issues. I’m really enjoying watching your videos.

I always had problem with stubborn hair. I got the NoNo on a free trial from ‘gratismakeupsamples’ – does the job really well. Im really happy with it.
August 10th, 2010 at 3:06 am
I would recommend you consult an expert. Male pattern balding begins at puberty, not at 42. Your balding may be caused by something else.
August 10th, 2010 at 3:16 am
thank you for your wid… I am a MtF transsexual with hair loss concerns. My hair was good until I turned 42, but after than my hair started to fall off. My transition started at 43 with HRT, yet I did not notice any improvement in my hair at all; the loss continued. At 44, I started propecia but the hair keeps falling off. I am now 46. Now, I need to take serious action. Do you think by removing my balls will stop this? BTW, you hair look just fine.
Thanks, Malin

i know exactly what u mean about the only shaving once a week, i have to do that now cause my face is so sensative, and i feel like the razor just chops my face up and it doesn’t even have to rub against my face that much, waxing is inaffective too, and i wish i could start my lasor hair removal before hormones, but i have no job and can’t afford any treatments
i’m kinda in a slump now
August 10th, 2010 at 4:51 am
as girls we can have hormonal imbalances that makes us grow hair too… specially during menopause or if we have some sort of ovary/female hormone problem… we can end up with more testosteron than progesterone hence we can also grow beards.. hahaa.. .im not that bad tho…
waxing usually works well for large areas, under arms, legs , chest.
laser only if you have light skin and dark hair .. otherwise slow electrolisis is the only thing i know WORks
August 10th, 2010 at 5:28 am
I kind of doubt that, honestly.
August 10th, 2010 at 5:45 am
i also can only shave like 1 time a week :/
it kills me
August 10th, 2010 at 6:25 am
if your skin is like yellow/pale brown and hair black will it work?

The only hair removal cream with thorough documentation is Vaniqa. Unfortunately it’s not available in Denmark.
August 10th, 2010 at 9:27 am
I tried facial heir removal cream, gave me chemical burns, only removed half the hair, and it’s obviously not permanent. I don’t think it’s a very good solution.
August 10th, 2010 at 9:45 am
…sorry, forgot to add this….
…and anyways…some born women’s hair lines are further back than yours, even mine!!!
August 10th, 2010 at 10:16 am
hey…since you have hardly any facial hair…you could use facial hairremoval cream…there must be some that is for sensitive skin…my hair line is not as good as it used to be when i was 11years old…but…it only came out because i used gel in my hair to control it when i started growing…im 19 now…and i looks worse than it is…
