Question by Anastasia: Why do some cats have bald spots above their eyes?
I’ve noticed that some cats have these and some don’t. My kitten sally has long fur and very prominent “bald spots”. I was thinking that’s where some of their scent glands are, but then why do some cats have them and some don’t?

Actually… they *all* do to some degree or another. That’s just the way they are made!

my cat got a minor wound a little above her left eye a couple of days ago. Today when i got home i noticed it was bleeding a bit and theres a bit of hair loss just around the wound. I cleaned it up with some water. Shes still just as active, maybe a little more irritated than usual but it’s probably because she’s in heat. (yes, im getting her spayed soon). Im also gonna take her to the vet to get the wound checked out. But i wanted to know if anyone knows if hair loss around a minor wound is usual or is it something to be really worried about. I’ve been freaking out about it.. does anyone know anything about it or what i should do about the wound? It doesnt bleed constantly. maybe she scratches it cause shes been itching herself more than usual recently too but I dont want to put on the flea medication if she doesnt have fleas. So im gonna get her checked out for that too at the vet. any suggestions?

skin became great, but this receding hairline thinning is still a reality after all this time. I have really thick hair normally so the rest is thick but the hair near the front and top is thin compared to the rest…its a pretty imbalanced look. I need to do a gradual thin out from top to bottom with thinning shears and layer it a lot.
My main question is, is this a permanent deal?
Have any of you grown hair back?
Are there hair treatments, products for it to grow back?
Thanks a mill.

I have had this for months and I really don’t want to go waste money on a doctor for them to tell me go to Walmart and buy some over the counter medicine. I have a group of these bumps on the back of my head and as of now its scabbing. I NEED HELP! IDK WHAT TO DO!
