Mechanically, how does that happen ?
and overall how the chemical treatment of cancer work on the cancer cells ?

Formation of hair involves division of cells, as do growth of cancers. Briefly chemotherapy inhibits division of cells, thereby preventing formation of new hair. We shed hair all the time, and consequently hair loss is greater than hair formation during chemotherapy. When the treatment is over hair formation becomes normal again.

There’s only two drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Propecia (Proscar, Finasteride, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren’t enough studies yet.

If you’re into natural stuff, the only ones that might be helpful are Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia, or the herb Shen Min.

Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.
