Question by cute_chick: Can too much Biotin cause dandruff or hair loss?
I’ve been taking Biotin, Women’s One A Day, Folic Acid, Super B Complex, and Fish Oil vitamins for about 2-3 months now and I have not seen any changes on my hair. Recently I started getting dandruff and now my hair is falling out even more. When I massage my scalp it just makes it even more itchier. What do I do?
Where can I buy natural vitamins?

Definately not. How many milligrams of biotin are you taking? You need 5mg to see a difference.
Also this is a big one, is any of the products you’ve bought natural? As in you didn’t buy them from a pharmacy, grocery store, or drug store? Those products are a big waste of money. They’re synthetic and you’re body doesn’t recognize it and will only absorb about 30% at the max. And synthetic vitamins can actually do more harm to your body than good. But if your vitamins are natural you need to make sure you take them with food if they advise it or on an empty stomach. But from the sounds of it you need to take them all with a meal. Not all at once though, through out the day so they all get absorb since you can only absorb so much at one time.

Will treating the dandruff with medicated shampoos solve the hair loss as well? I’ll be seeing my doctor in a few days but am interested in how to treat this from any one knowledgeable or has experience in this area…

I had these symptoms about 7 months ago, and I was losing hair. I went on propecia for 6 months (I stopped one week ago). Now, these symptoms are coming back again. I am on an anti-dandruff shampoo and have been for a while. Is this associated with hair loss, or is this something completely different?

I need a shampoo that works in both hair loss and dadruff. I can’t use two shampoos at once. I tried it and my hair breakage increased. Currently I am using Head & Shoulders. Can you please suggest one?

Also Does Dove help to volumize hair? If so which one (please tell me by its colour)? Should I use it ?
