My daughter is a healthy 2 year old child. She has very less hair on her scalp (no hair fall or hair loss). As per others suggestions I got her hair shaved tow times in two years, but with no difference. I could see very less numbers of follicles on her scalp. Kids in this situation grow to have the prettiest, thickest hair in most cases. I know many children that had a hard time growing hair and new hair until they were somewhere around 4, 5 or 6. When it takes off, it will take off pretty fast. I wouldn’t worry about it at all if I were you. Let me add, though that if you give her vitamins it will help ALOT. Gummy-Vites are great.

hair loss is hereditary. try this shampoo called nioxin. it puts your scalp in prime condition to grow hair, but it does not regrow it.

I have had female pattern baldness (which after testing was not due to thyroids, blood problems, etc) since I was in my teens, and it runs in my family. However, during both of my pregnancies, my hair filled back in to an acceptable level (and of course, it fell out again a few months after each birth). What hormone caused the hair to begin growing again, and is there a way to take it (like the birth control pill) to combat female hair loss?

I take pre-natal vitamins to make my hair thicker and longer quicker. It’s probably something in there.
