Question by Cistafrom: What does it mean when a guinea pig has a small red bald patch on his back?
My guinea pig has a random but small bald patch on his back. He’s had one before and it never causes and problems so we’re not taking him to the vet. His behavior is normal so it’s not a big deal so far (or that’s what i think.) Please help!

The guinea pig needs a shot of ivermectin.

Hey, not that you care. You’ve already said you aren’t taking the poor thing to a vet, despite hair loss.

NeoGraft device is a new automated instrument for hair transplantation that makes ‘FUE’-type procedures more efficient and accurate. FUE or Follicular-Unit Extraction procedures require no scalpels, no stitches and leave no linear scar. Although recovery from most modern hair transplant procedures is relatively quick and comfortable, FUE recovery is even more so and has less activity restrictions. Dr. Bauman (Bauman Medical Group — Florida) is one of the few physicians worldwide to routinely use NeoGraft for hair transplantation. In this clip, he is being interviewed, ‘live’ in-studio on the South Florida Today Show. Bauman Medical Group is an officially-designated teaching facility for NeoGraft, where physicians can receive education about the device and observe surgical procedures. The use of the NeoGraft requires technical skill as well as an ‘aesthetic eye’ because the hair follicles require proper implantation to look 100% natural. I got a pair of girls from a bad situation. The Abyssinian has a penny sized bald spot behind each ear. She doesn’t seem to be itching them or anything. The female that came with doesn’t have them. Is she okay? Any home remedies?
