Question by Extraspecial: Why does my fat roborovski hamster have a bald fatty roll under chin?
I’m a little concerned about the bald patch that has developed under one of my roborovski hamsters chin. I have 2 males which live together and one is normal size and one is fat. The normal sized one has no bald patch (so not contagious) but the fat one (who is also the dominant one) has a baldy patch just under chin on his chest. Is this normal for a fat roborovski? Is it a gland? Please help!

Today at 10:20pm I noticed that my hamster has a bald spot (I checked on the computer and it said it’s a sign of illness) but my parents doesn’t think it’s an illness and wouldn’t take it to the vet. Should I tell my parent that it needs to be taken to a vet tomorrow?
The hamster’s bald spot is located on top of the nose and the size of the bald spot is like a dot.

no hes probly just biting himself because he has an itch! try buying him /her chew toys because but if it looks serious then yes take him/her to the vet.

My mates hamster has hair loss around the throat, she is eating less and she had like a big black spot around her vaginal area…. What is this and what can my mate do about it?

P.s the hamster is a syrian and has lived just about over a year

I’ve had my hamster for about 2 months, and he’s completely healthy, except that he has a bald spot on his nose right where the bar is when he’s chewing on it.

is there anything I should do about it? or should I just let him keep chewing on the bars?
