Question by Lennon: Can low thyroid hormone symptoms like hair loss be reversed?
I’m a 19 year old guy, I recently found out that I have a low thyroid hormone level and I’ve had the symptom of hair loss for more than 3 years now, but it’s really starting to show now. Can it be reversed once I start taking the hormone pill that my doctor prescribed to me?

If the hair loss is indeed due to low thyroid (hypothyroidism), then yes, it can reverse when you take prescribed replacement therapy.

I would like to know of any next generation hair loss products especially new pills. I know that propecia and regaine (minoxydil) have achieved some positive results, but both are rather old, so is there any new pill?!

Nothing new (FDA Approved) yet. I have not heard about testing of other 5 alpha reductases that are available either.

Can a bald man get synthetic hair implants or put on something that is just like really short hair? I mean like so that it just looks like they cut their own hair really low. I know like gluing on short fake hair would never work with your skin, I just thought there might be something out there that is relatively inexpensive that gives this look? I know about hair transplant, not that.

they can transplant hair to your bald spot. they take the hair that,s left on your head and implant it on the bald spot but why spend all that money and go through the pain just to get hair.

This is sort of a psychology question. Why do most people like furry animals like cats and dogs, hamsters, and what not? The same is not true for hairless or bald breeds of cats or dogs or any other animal. I mean I am sure their owners like them, but they do not generate same cuddling reaction.

This is strange to me since Humans are technically hairless and bald and human babies to cling to their mother who is not hairy.

Yea so I am not sure how to explain this.

I guess because furry pets are soft and cuddlier then pets that arnt furry they feel better i guess and it gives them more of a cute appeal.

i said like “michael jordan” so people would know that in my question i’m saying that he shaved it all the way down to the scalp, not a low trim. give me a break.
