My mothers dad still has plenty of hair but all her brothers are totally bald.

I have my doubts about this as i have seen brothers and some are bald and some are not. Could someone give a scientific explanation on what determines if you are bald or not?

Im asking because my grandfather went bald when he was 24 (apparently he had a scalpal disease) but his father went bald when he was 25, so i thought that that means i’m going to go the same way. But my grandfathers brother who shares the same parents is 60 and still has a lot of hair. i was wondering if anyone could please tell me why this is and if i might be possibly saved from baldness? lol
ps. i dyed my hair 3 times in 3 days. What will be the effect of this please?Thankyou
