I have very thick long hair so i normally loose some when i brush it and shower. but lately its been really coming out. not in patches tho. im only 16 so its definitelynot just normal hair loss. Ive recently switched to a vegetarian diet and i think that a lack of some vitamin might be to blame. However, i am also under a huge amount of stress right now and do not getv ery much sleep. Any ideas about the cause of this and how to fix it?? Thanks!

As we know the most common type of hair loss in men is Androgenetic Alopecia. Do you know that smoking may also cause hair loss? Let us find out how smoking is related to hair loss.

In order to prevent from hair loss, the cell in hair follicles must be fed with sufficient oxygen and nutrients for hair growth. However, smoking may destroy hair follicles, damage the papilla that circulate blood and hormones to stimulate hair growth or increase production of the hormone estrogen, which may counter the effects of androgen.

How does smoking affect the blood supply in our body?

1. The nicotine produced after smoking will cause an increase in adrenaline. As a result, this causes the increase of blood pressure and suddenly makes the heart beat faster.

2. The nicotine will cause blood vessels to constrict and makes it harder for the heart to pump blood through the arteries. As a result, this impacts the blood circulatory system.

3. Smoking produces carbon monoxide which inhibits the blood’s capacity to carry oxygen.

A study has been carried out in Taiwan related to this issue. The researchers have discovered that Asian men who smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day have faced the risk of accelerating their hair loss.
