Question by Michael: How can I get rid of bald patches in my beard?
I have a bald spot under my chin, on the side of the chin on both sides, and on my right cheek. on the ones on the side, there are small, white hairs. I can’t tell if there are on the others. Is there any ways I can get these to fill in?

Maybe you can try the new stuff out for eyelashes causing the eyelashes to grow longer and fuller until the use is discontinued. It’s gonna be costly though… and you need to apply it everyday.

Question by Rob: Bald patches in lawn – any idea what the problem could be?
I live north of Houston, and I take good care of watering and mowing the lawn, and I’ve even put seed down in thin areas, and that’s helped keep the lawn generally healthy-looking in appearance. But I’ve noticed that there are some circular bald patches on the lawn, regardless of watering/seeding.

At the risk of asking a potentially obvious question: what is causing this? Is this a bug/worm, or is something wrong with the ground or the grass? I don’t spend a ton of time researching this stuff, so I figured I’d post it here, to find out if anyone knows what this is, and how to treat it.

Thanks.

My first guess would be grub worms. Have you pulled back the grass to see if there’s any nasty critters below it? These guys are usually pretty easy to spot. They’re big, white and nasty looking. And they can eat! They feast on the roots of your lawn.

Here’s a little info:

If it’s them, you can get rid of them yourself, but it’s a lot easier to hire a place like Chemway to come out and spray for them.

Question by NJ65: What is the best way to repair bald patches in a lawn?
I’ve tried to repair bald patches in my back lawn by overseeding, i.e. loosening the soil, putting down seed, and layering on top with .25-.50 inches of Scott’s topsoil. Even though I’ve watered daily, nothing is growing and it’s been almost two weeks. What am I doing wrong?
