Question by he_is_her_addiction_27: itchy scalp & hair loss remedy?
Hello all!!
I have been suffering from an intensely itchy scalp & hair loss for a few months now. I used to get my hair dyed & highlighted in a salon once a month or every 4-6 weeks. The itch is only in one area, the back of my head. The hair loss is ridiculous, it’s beginning to worry me. I can only think it’s from the chemicals in the hair dye. I haven’t had my hair dyed for going on 2 months now & it’s not near as intense but it still itches & I’m still losing hair. SO, what are some shampoos or remedies I can do to relieve this?? I’ve looked all over the web but all I can find is different types of oils but there’s no definite instructions on how to use them…I’m wanting to find a shampoo & conditioner ideally but at this point, I’ll take any advice. Thanks guys!

Answer by Blackcat As well as taking iron you will need some vitamin d and c as the body cant absorb the iron without it,good ones are vitamins and minerals,as minerals play a big part in hair so are very important,so buy the ones that say vitamins and minerals, also eat a good balanced diet.

Question by Sayed Iftekhar: What kind of doctors deal with hair loss and scalp problems?
This is kind of a two part question.
1. What kind of doctor should I go to for hair loss and scalp problems ( I am male) ?
2. I have a HMO (united health care). Can I directly go to the specialist or do I have to contact a general practitioner to get a referral ?
Thanks in advance.
