im on the depo vera shot and im noticing hair loss when i take showers im due for another shot in a week i dont want to take it again so how soon after i stop taking it will the hair loss stop?

im 17 and i wanted to get the shot. My mom wanted me to get it too until today when i asked her, she told me to look up ALL the side effects associated with it. There were alot of undiagnosed sideffects that many girls and women believe were caused by the gardasil shot. Some of those side effects included seizures, epilepsy, hair loss, memory loss, inability to move arms/legs for up to 10 days, alot of stomach pains, arm pains, indigestion, etc. What are my chances of getting this? I wanted to get the shot, but after reading all of this im actually scared to do it. Should i? Should i not? Has anyone had any of these side effects? any info is accepted. Thank you.

I realize the shot reacts differently for each individual. My doc. told me that the only reason women gain weight on any birth control is because they have an increase in appetite. is this true? I am most concerned with the hair loss thing. i have heard that you lose hair while on the shot. is this a fact and can anyone tell me the reason it would affect the hair? i guess the hair loss thing is my main concern.
