Is it safe to use Minoxidil (hair loss treatment) for a teenager?
Posted by: in women hair lossQuestion by Carnation: Is it safe to use Minoxidil (hair loss treatment) for a teenager?
I am 18 years and I’ve recently been experiencing thinning of hair on my scalp, and I have a noticeably receding hairline. I don’t know what might be the cause, but it’s either a hormone imbalance or hereditary. Nevertheless, I read about this hair loss treatment called Minoxidil which is used to effectively stabilize hair growth and inhibit further hair loss. It’s basically a bottle of transparent fluid you massage on to your scalp for a period of 4 months.
Now my question is, is it safe to use Minoxidil for a female my age? I was wondering maybe it’s only for adults and people (particularly males) who are actually experiencing severe balding.
Please, if you are knowledgeable about this product or/and have used it before I would really love some advice and info.
Thank you very much!
