No. There are many kinds of chemotherapy and some drugs such as 5-FU (for example) don’t normally cause hair loss. But even chemotherapy drugs that are known to cause hair loss don’t always produce hair loss.
I was treated with 8 cycles of ABVD chemotherapy (Adriamycin, Bleomycin, Vinblastine, and Dacarbazine) for Hodgkin’s Disease. My oncologist said I would lose my hair, mostly due to the Adriamycin. I didn’t. My hair thinned somewhat, but I didn’t lose anywhere close to all of it. Anyone who didn’t know wouldn’t know from looking at my hair that I had chemo. I know other Hodgkin’s Disease patients treated with ABVD for half as many cycles who lost ALL of their hair. It is just luck of the draw.
There are chemo regimens that do cause total hair loss in just about everyone. Cytoxan for example. Then there are those like ABVD that usually cause hair loss, but some people get spared. Then there are regimens where hair loss is rare.
By the way according to the chemo nurses, hair loss does not equate to chemo working. There is no correlation between chemotherapy side effects and effectiveness.

i have my graduation ball in July and im REALLY struggling with what to match with my dress and what to do with my face and hair!

im much curvier than the woman in the photo, so it doesnt hang like hers, it sticks out a wee bit more at the hips.
i was told a few colours to try by the sales assistant, but im still a bit confused.
I havent the foggiest where to start with my makeup.
Ive got shoulder lenght hair dark brown hair and its really thin (as in not much there) pretty useless no matter what i try with it?

I can’t ask this question with out praising God. You may wonder why. Considering I grew up as the prettiest girl in my home town church. I was the one that turned folks heads and made mouths drop open. My biggest asset was my dark thick hair. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the first of the year, then learned it was in my lynmph nodes, and I also had 10 tumors in my liver. The medical team had silently given me up. I did not learn that till just a few months ago. My husband and I got into the Word of God and gave our tithes and offerings. I went to a great doctor. I’m cleared of all tumors. PTL! I was suppose to have chemo, radiation, and radical surgory. I’m now off the chemo, and only on herception. (That is great stuff!) I might have very little surgory. So now I’m left with fuss on my head. I can’t tell my story and not rejoyce in God’s awesome power. But do any of you have, Any ideas?
