Let me hear from some of you who have used this product. I’m a female with some balding in the top. I’ve had this problem in past but it’s been almost 20years ago. But, sudden it’s back. Help, Help, Help.
Wearing a wig not an option for me. I’d rather shave my head.

Answer by 4woods@att.net I don’t know that product but I do know that with some you have to always use it.
Have you ever used Nioxin shampoo and hair treatment? This is a product that will help, but won’t grow back major balding. Sometimes when hair just starts to go, it’s because the follicles get clogged and the nioxin can help with that. It has also been know to get hair growing again. Check out the website.

I’m currently using Tresemme (Moisture for dry/damaged hair) but I also have Tea Tree shampoo, but my mom said you should use a gentle shampoo, like baby shampoo. Any good recommendations?
Oh and PS, the treatment consists of pills and a topical “serum”.

Answer by who? I was using tea tree shampoo but i thought it was way too harsh, right now i am using gillette’s daily balance shampoo. I am using pills and topical serum as well. Your mom is probably right about the baby shampoo…I also tried a moisturizing shampoo but i found that it made my scalp sort of break out and caused more hair loss i think…I talked to someone about it and they said it was probably over-moisturized.

Answer by Chrys no..it’s genetics…your hair grows as it grows and ’stuff’ will NOT make it grow..otherwise no one would be bald.

I know someone in his early twenties and has a noticeable hair thinning at the back of his head. Does saw palmetto really prevent hair loss and promote hair regrowth? What about those thickening shampoos? Are there any other remedies? He really needs help

Answer by rkeech There is one FDA-approved medication that is far superior to Rogaine: Propecia, a tablet taken once daily. Like Rogaine, it only works as long as one continues to take it.
