Check out what happened to older males in your family. That will give you a good clue what the future holds for you.

Worrying about some things is a waste of time…. hair loss, penis size, make and model of car …
none of that really matters. It really doesn’t.
So don’t waste your money on vitamins, special diets, special preparations. Keep yourself healthy, steer clear of Rogaine.
Keeping your breath sweet and teeth flossed is more important.

There are many reason why you loose your hair! It can be from stress, shock, unbalanced diet, lack of sleep, or health related!!! I alwayse recomend getting a yearly check up at the doctors to make sure it aint thyroide or any other reasons!

But you need to know that there is a stage of hair growth you will loose more hair then normal it does this once a year! So if it’s a recent thing i would not worry.
If it has been going on for awhile ither see a doctor or try nioxin!

Question by brandoleigh: has anybody used the vitamin saw palmetto? is it good for hair loss???

Best answer:

Answer by Goldista
1.Saw palmetto is believed to have a similar mechanism of action to the anti-androgenic drug finasteride (Propecia), which has been used in low doses for hair loss.

2.Folic acid, biotin, vitamin B5, para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), and silica are supplements that may help maintain the color and thickness of hair.

3.Be sure to check your daily intake of zinc through supplements. Intake of 30 mg or higher for more than three months can induce a deficiency of copper, and low copper levels can result in hair loss.

4.The results of one research study suggest that the essential oils of thyme, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood mixed with an oil and applied on the areas of hair loss may stimulate hair growth.

Hair Oil Recipe –
3 drops of thyme, 3 drops of lavender, 3 drops of rosemary, and 3 drops of cedarwood
1/8 cup of grapeseed oil, 1/8 cup of jojoba oil

Mix the ingredients together. Apply several drops of the mixture to areas of hair loss each night, massaging gently into scalp for 3-5 minutes. Store the oil tightly covered. Do not take internally or near the eye area.

5.In traditional Chinese medicine, hair loss is linked to kidney deficiency syndrome. Other symptoms of kidney deficiency are weakness and fatigue and low back weakness. Kidney energy is believed to naturally decline with age, but people with early or accelerated hair loss may have particularly weak kidney energy. Kidney tonics are usually recommended.

Question by Guardy1: Vitamin and oil supplement experts help please!?
hi i am a 17 year male , and i take supplements for acne

i take code liver oil 120mg with vitamin A D and E

i take vitamin B complex with all B-vits

i take a slow release vitamin C 550mg and the vitamin C also comes with 15mg of Zinc

i have recently started taking evening primrose oil with 10mg of vitamin E (which makes up for the lack of vitamin E in the cod liver oil as it has very low amounts) it also contains 90mg of GLA. i take this to regulate hormones as that is mainly why i have acne.

i have been on the primrose oil for over a week and i have to say i have had some results, though small its going in the right direction.
my acne is hormone related and i would say i have moderate to severe acne. what i know is the GLA regulates hormones but can take a long time to take effect with the dosage i am on.
i have done a lot of research and found that the best results in minimum time are achieved through doses of about 200mg-400mg of GLA. since it is combined with primrose oil i would have to take 5 or 6 capsules daily to attain such a dose but in turn also take 5 or 6 times more primrose oil and vit E ( 5000mg of primrose and 50-60mg of vitamin E ) what i need help with is:

1. is there a toxicity level for vit E and can taking too much cause any side effects ?

2. can taking large amounts of primrose oil have any negative side effects on me as a male since it decreases androgens which are a male hormone and this oil is mainly used for women.
i’m still changing and i wouldn’t like to think it would decrease facial hair or any hair loss. i know its a long question but any help would be greatly appreciated
sorry i forgot to say the cod liver oil also contains DHA & EPA – 85mg’s

(RDA) of vitamin E as 15 mg/d and listed the tolerable upper intake level (UL) of any alpha-tocopherol form as 1000 mg/d. The UL is the upper level that is likely to pose no risk of adverse health effects to almost all people in the general population.

I would highly suggest for hormone regulation & acne you consider a low carb way of eating. Controlling carbs to <9grams per hour will control insulin.

High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger & unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones & allow testosterone & human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle.
